A COMFORTABLE START TO A HEALTHIER SMILE
We understand that visiting a new dental office can come with questions—and even a little nervousness. That’s why your first appointment at Family Dentistry on Locke is designed to be welcoming, informative, and completely stress-free. No needles, no drills—just a friendly conversation, a thorough evaluation, and a focus on you.
You’ll meet our caring team, tour the office, and discuss your dental goals and concerns. By the end of your visit, you’ll have the information you need to make confident decisions about your oral health.

To help us serve you better, please bring:
- A list of any medications and known allergies
- Copies of previous X-rays or dental records (if available)
- Your insurance information (if applicable)
- Any questions or concerns you'd like to discuss with the dentist
What Happens at the First Appointment?
The Dentist and his team will go through the following steps with you:
- A thorough review of your medical and dental status
- Your dental experiences, goals, needs and wants will all be discussed.
- Examination of your teeth, gums and bone levels will be completed.
- An oral cancer screening will be completed by the dentist
- All findings will be charted and noted on our state-of-the-art computer system.
- A series of low-dose digital xrays (radiographs) will be taken to help the Dentist diagnose any problems.
- A series of photos will be taken with an intraoral dental camera.
- A diagnosis of any dental problems will be established.
- Any relevant treatment options will be discussed.
- Our team will answer all of your questions, explain the diagnosis and start the process of planning your treatment.
NO NEEDLES, NO DRILLS.
It’s all about getting to know you and your dental needs.
Based on our findings, we’ll book your next appointment accordingly.
Sometimes that means a cleaning, sometimes it means a filling, and in more complex cases, it may include a sit down session with the Dentist to have a more indepth discussion before starting treatment. You can rest assured, no matter what we find, you’ll be taken care of to the highest standards of the profession.
How long will the first appointment take?

Which Dentist will I see?
