What cosmetic dentistry covers at our practice

Take-home teeth whitening. A self-driven whitening protocol for maintenance and optimization of dental esthetics. Our Opalescence Go system is proven to be the best in the market, providing whitening while minimizing tooth sensitivity.

Porcelain veneers. Thin porcelain shells bonded to the front of a tooth to correct chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone won’t fix. Dr. Bueno’s restorative background matters most here: a veneer that doesn’t respect the tooth’s natural shape looks like a veneer. One that does, doesn’t.

Smile makeovers. For patients combining more than one of the above, we build a single plan rather than treating each tooth as a separate decision.

Why we start with an exam, not a shade guide

A beauty spa or a drugstore kit can whiten your teeth. Neither one can tell you if you have a cavity underneath the stain, or if your gums are healthy enough for the treatment in the first place. We check both before any whitening starts, because covering a problem with a brighter smile isn’t the same as treating it.

That exam is also where Dr. Bueno’s restorative training shows up in the plan. If a chip or an old filling is part of what’s bothering you, whitening won’t touch it. A veneer might.

What it costs

In-office whitening is $600 per visit. Take-home Opalescence Go kits run $120. Veneers run about $1,500 per tooth on average, with a full smile closer to $40,000. Which option fits, and how many teeth are involved, is what your exam tells you.

Veneers or bonding: what's the difference

Both fix chips, gaps, and discoloration on the front of a tooth. Porcelain veneers are custom shells that resist staining and typically hold up longer with normal care. Dental bonding uses a composite resin applied directly to the tooth in a single visit, it's faster and less expensive, but it doesn't wear as well over years. Which one makes sense depends on what you're fixing and how long you want it to last, and that's a conversation for your exam, not a form.
